IMED (Industrial Management and Entrepreneurship Development) पॉलिटेक्निक डिप्लोमा (जैसे Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, CS आदि) के 5th सेमेस्टर में पढ़ाया जाने वाला एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण सब्जेक्ट है। यह subject आपको सिर्फ एक engineer बनना नहीं सिखाता, बल्कि यह सिखाता है कि industry (company) को कैसे चलाया जाता है या खुद का business (Startup) कैसे शुरू किया जाता है।

इसे मुख्य रूप से दो भागों में बांटा गया है:

1. Industrial Management (औद्योगिक प्रबंधन)

इस भाग में आप सीखते हैं कि किसी company या factory के अंदर काम कैसे होता है:

Management Principles: काम को सही तरीके से manage करना, planning करना और team को संभालना।
Leadership & Motivation: कर्मचारियों (Employees) से सही तरीके से काम कैसे कराया जाए और उन्हें कैसे motivate रखा जाए।
Human Resource (HR): company में लोगों की भर्ती (Recruitment) और उनके अधिकारों की जानकारी।
Material & Financial Management: company के बजट, खर्चों और कच्चे माल (Raw Material) को सही से manage करना ताकि नुकसान न हो।

2. Entrepreneurship Development (उद्यमिता विकास)

यह भाग आपको एक नौकरी ढूंढने वाले (Job Seeker) से नौकरी देने वाला (Job Provider / Business Owner) बनने की प्रेरणा और जानकारी देता है:

Business Idea: एक नया business या startup कैसे शुरू करें।
Market Survey: यह पता लगाना कि market में किस चीज की मांग (Demand) है।
Project Report (DPR): लोन या सरकारी मदद पाने के लिए अपने business का पूरा plan या project report कैसे तैयार करें।
>Government Schemes: नए startup के लिए सरकार कौन-सी योजनाएं (जैसे MSME, Startup India) और लोन सुविधाएं दे रही है।

यह सब्जेक्ट क्यों जरूरी है?

अगर आप जॉब करना चाहते हैं: तो आपको कंपनी के काम करने के तरीके (Work Culture) और मैनेजमेंट की समझ पहले से होगी, जिससे आपका प्रमोशन जल्दी हो सकता है।

अगर आप खुद का काम शुरू करना चाहते हैं: तो आपको कानूनी नियम, सरकारी मदद और बिजनेस चलाने की बेसिक समझ मिल जाती है।
