XML RSS Feed

RSS का full form Really Simple Syndication या Rich Site Summary है। RSS एक XML-based format है जिसका use regularly updated content जैसे news, blogs, articles, podcasts और videos की information को users और applications तक पहुँचाने के लिए किया जाता है।

RSS feed को आप एक ऐसी structured XML file के रूप में समझ सकते हैं जिसमें किसी website के latest content की information दी जाती है। इसमें article का title, link, description, publication date जैसी details शामिल हो सकती हैं।

RSS Feed कैसे काम करता है?

जब कोई website नया content publish करती है, तो उस content की information RSS feed में एक नए <item> के रूप में add की जा सकती है। RSS reader या कोई दूसरा application इस feed को read करके नए content की जानकारी user को दिखा सकता है।

इसका मतलब यह है कि user को हर website को manually खोलकर यह check करने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती कि कोई नया article या update आया है या नहीं। RSS reader subscribed feeds को read करके available updates दिखा सकता है।

RSS और XML का संबंध

RSS खुद एक अलग programming language नहीं है। RSS feed को represent करने के लिए XML format का use किया जाता है। XML की structured nature RSS को ऐसा format provide करती है जिसे humans और software दोनों आसानी से process कर सकते हैं।

RSS में कुछ predefined elements का use किया जाता है, जैसे <rss>, <channel>, <title>, <link>, <description> और <item>।

RSS Feed के मुख्य Elements

`<rss>`	RSS document का main/root element होता है और इसमें RSS version दिया जाता है।
`<channel>`	पूरे feed की information और उसके content items को contain करता है।
`<title>`	Website, feed या individual content का title बताता है।
`<link>`	Website या संबंधित content का URL provide करता है।
`<description>`	Website, feed या content के बारे में short description देता है।
`<item>`	एक individual article, post या update को represent करता है।
`<pubDate>`	Content के publish होने की date और time बताने के लिए use किया जा सकता है।

Channel क्या होता है?

RSS feed में <channel> एक important element है। इसमें feed की basic information और उसके अंदर available content items रखे जाते हैं। उदाहरण के लिए website का title, website link और description channel के अंदर दिया जा सकता है।

Item क्या होता है?

<item> RSS feed में किसी एक content update को represent करता है। अगर website पर तीन नए articles हैं, तो RSS feed में तीन अलग-अलग <item> elements हो सकते हैं। प्रत्येक item में उस article का title, URL, description और publication date जैसी information दी जा सकती है।

नीचे एक simple RSS 2.0 feed का example दिया गया है। इसमें एक channel के अंदर तीन अलग-अलग content items दिए गए हैं।

इस example में <rss version="2.0"> main RSS element है। इसके अंदर <channel> मौजूद है। Channel के अंदर website की basic information और तीन अलग-अलग <item> elements दिए गए हैं।

Example को समझें

<rss version="2.0"> RSS document को define करता है और इसमें RSS version दिया गया है।
<channel> पूरे feed की information को contain करता है।
पहला <title> feed/website का title बताता है।
<link> website का URL provide करता है।
<description> feed के बारे में short information देता है।
हर <item> एक अलग content update को represent करता है।
हर item के अंदर title, link, description और publication date दी गई है।

RSS Feed का Use

RSS feeds का use उन websites और platforms पर किया जा सकता है जहाँ content regularly update होता है। इसका purpose नए content की structured information को subscribers या दूसरे software तक पहुँचाना है।
