Ideas from the Bhagavad Gita, Buddhism and Jainism
Page 9 introduces concepts from the Bhagavad Gita, Buddhist traditions and Jain philosophy. The Gita questions include nishkama karma, commonly described as action without attachment to its fruits, and the paths of knowledge, action and devotion. These ideas appear in a larger dialogue about duty, discernment and spiritual practice. Reading the text with commentary can clarify how the themes fit together.
Buddhist topics include the Madhyamaka tradition associated with Nagarjuna, the philosophical meaning of shunyata, and Abhidharma literature. Shunyata is a technical concept and should not be confused with simple nothingness. Abhidharma works organize analyses of experience and doctrine in different Buddhist schools. The quiz checks introductory associations rather than resolving complex debates.
The Jain section asks about the Three Jewels, traditionally identified as right faith or vision, right knowledge and right conduct. Along with ahimsa, these principles are important in Jain ethical and spiritual teaching. Comparing them with Buddhist and Gita concepts can reveal shared concerns as well as meaningful differences.
Note which text or tradition each concept belongs to, then write a short definition in your own words. Avoid merging terms simply because they address similar questions. Page 10 concludes the series with Ayurveda, environmental knowledge, water conservation and temple spaces.
